In the autumn 2006 I found out that my mother and her sister Jacqueline where extras in the movie Z by Costa-Gavras. They played in the demonstrations scenes and the film where recorded Algeria in 1969. I decided to find her in the film. During my searching I experience that it was possible that all woman could be my mother. I recall different events from ours common life that I comment in the video.

It can be insignificant details or big decisive events. My mother’s haven’t told me much about her past and that gives me a vague picture of her French/Algerian background. She broke with her family when she came to Sweden 1973. My image of her, as young is very vague because of that she has no photographs from her youth. That makes my seeking for understanding even more complicated.
